Before you march towards your next flight, know these travel hacks that will make your trip a whole lot easier, more pleasant, and stress-free.

    1. Dress for the occasion

It’s best to wear simple at the airport. You won’t need fancy clothes or makeup, just some comfortable clothes. The atmosphere inside the plane won’t be extreme, so don’t worry about that.

Unless you have an event right after the flight, wear something you would wear at your home. Large earrings and chains could bother you, so avoid them, and you’ll have a more pleasant and comfortable flight.

    2. Turbulence Tip

If you aren’t a frequent flier, this will scare you. On top of that, turbulence also causes stress, dizziness, and vomiting, so keep that in mind. Complimentary barf bags are available in many airlines and if not, request a flight attendant. They’ll get you the barf bag or a similar alternative.

Turbulence is felt most at the back of aircraft so avoid that area. Instead, go for a seat above the wing section. You’ll be less affected here. Booking an early morning flight can also help you avoid turbulence.

    3. Travel Kit Tips

Are you feeling tired and sluggish on a flight? You may want to be fresh, but you’re in an aircraft with no showers and you’re thousands of feet high. So better carry your refreshments next time. Keep it small as you don’t want it to be bothering you.

A toothpaste, toothbrush, lip balm, and mini soap will do the job. This will freshen you up, and your teeth won’t smell. A travel kit is a must if you’re travelling long haul. Some airlines do provide travel kits for longer flights as well.

    4. Downloaded offline maps

If you’re travelling to an unknown place, downloading the maps is good. You’ll be stressed and tired after the flight, and all you want to be will be to lay on your hotel bed. But finding the hotel could be a problem.

So, make sure you have the maps to help you find the necessary outlets after leaving the airport. Also, take a look at the restaurants, clinics, and stores. You might need them on your trip. This will also save a lot of time, and you can enjoy the time instead of searching for them.

    5. Scan the important documents

It’s good to scan the important documents ahead of the flight. Losing a Passport or ID will create many problems, but losing them in a foreign land will become a nightmare. So it’s wise to scan them and save them on your phone and keep a hard copy in your suitcase. Not losing the documents is the best thing, but this hack can save the day if you slip up.

    6. Buddy Up

“When you travel you meet friends and that’s for life!”

If you’re travelling alone, this can be an excellent time to meet new people. Long flights without social interaction can be tedious. Talking to the person next to you will be good, and you might make a new friend from a different culture or country. Travel Buddies and Backpacker will connect you to other people travelling the same place so that you might get a partner for the whole journey.

    7. Pack Snacks

We often hear some economy-class passengers disliking the taste of airline food, although it’s not the case always. If you’re not full, you can ask the flight attendant. They’ll happily provide you with the food that’s left. But if there’s no food left or you don’t like it, you need your own food. It’s better to buy snacks outside the airport since we know how high the prices are at the airport. Make sure it’s something that your tongue will like and something that would energize you. But be careful as some foods aren’t allowed by security.

    8. Offer your seat for free perks and upgrades

If you aren’t in a rush, giving a seat away on an overbooked flight can be a good move. Airlines will be pleased about this and will likely give you special treatment on your next flight. You can receive special perks, accommodations, free drinks, or even a first-class or business class upgrade.

    9. Jogging off the jetlag

Jetlag is very irritating and makes you tired. Jetlag, in extreme cases, may last for a week if you’re not a frequent flyer. This can ruin your time, so it’s necessary to get rid of it as fast as possible. More than anything, it’s better to go jogging. Your whole system will be activated, and your body will also adapt. Jogging will also allow you to have a good sleep at night, and it’s better than coffee or energy drinks.

    10. Be Aware of Thieves

    Beware of thieves on airplanes!

There are now gangs targetting passenger’s belongings onboard. This has become a grave issue. Most of the time, the theft is carried out by a group of passengers in an organized chain during overnight flight when passengers fall asleep. Items targeted include expensive watches, diamonds, and of course cash.

The extensive network involves multiple parties from luxury goods sales to airport staff and cleaners. It is not a shame thing to be a victim. Please speak up when you see something strange onboard.
